Amendoeira Golf Resort is located in the district of Silves, only 35 minutes from Faro airport in Portugal's Algarve. Silves is a region steeped in history as it was the capital of the Algarve during the Moorish town and Silves became a prosperous town, rivaling Lisbon as a centre of culture.
Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Amendoeira has the magnificent backdrop of the Monchique mountains, from rolling hills to verdant valleys of almond, olive and carob trees and is home to an abundance of flora and fauna, including over fifty species of birds. The aim is to protect the area's existing habitats, thus encouraging the proliferation of wildlife.
